Qualifier Rules

All events are run at no cost to the hosting location.  The host does not even need to provide equipment as we will bring all of the necessary equipment with us.  ALL qualifiers must feature the blind draw format where every person who enters into the tournament will be randomly partnered with another player that entered the qualifying tournament.

What can change from location to location is the exact format of the tournament.  While the typical tournament will be double elimination, there may be times where we will have time and space to run triple elimination, or pool play followed by double elimination.

Entry fees for all non-fundraiser qualifying events are recommended to be $10/person and the prize pot will be pre-determined based on number of teams (shown here).  70% of the prize pot will be paid out at the qualifying event with an additional 10% going directly into the season ending Championship event pot.

Along with winning cash at each qualifier, the winning team will automatically qualify for the Ohio Cornhole Tour Championship event.  Second and third place in a qualifying tournament may also qualify if the number of teams entered reaches 16 or 32 respectively.

We will be using rules as described by the Cornhole Players Association.  All games will be a race to 21 (yes, you can go over 21) to determine a winner.  Click here for all CPA rules.
