Money Shot Rules Change?

In an effort to continue to improve the Ohio Cornhole Tour please read the following and vote.

Feedback was provided that players would prefer that if they’re going to pay $5 to have a shot at the Money Shot (Presented by the Cornhole Players Association) that they should at least get to pitch some bags.  So the thought is that the money shot could be changed to be as follows.

- Everyone who wants to enter the Money Shot pays $5 (completely optional for every player)

- A random order is then selected and each player pitches 4 bags and totals their score (4 bags in order to keep things moving)

- The player with the highest number of points wins 50% of the money that was paid on the day of this event (ties settled by pitching one bag in a sudden death throw off)

- Then randomly one player that entered is chosen to try for the overall Money Shot.  They pitch 4 bags and win some percentage of the overall pot as they do today.  Only difference is since the prize pot is getting less of the entry money, then the payout percentages will also be decreased

- The new payouts for the Money Shot would be – 4 bags in = 100%, 3 bags in = 20%, 2 bags in = 5% and 0-1 bags in = $0

Please vote on if you feel this would be a good change or not.  Majority wins.

*Note that at the Championship event we would still let the player with the most points try for the money shot first as that would not change.

Should the Money Shot Rules Change Going Forward?
